We're happy to announce that Civo users are eligible for $100 in free Buoyant Cloud credits. Read on to learn more!
Let's get meshy
Linkerd is the fastest, lightest service mesh for Kubernetes. It's fully open source, is hosted by the CNCF, and powers the critical production infrastructure of organizations all over the world.
Now, the creators of Linkerd have launched Buoyant Cloud, a SaaS application that extends Linkerd with a free multi-cluster cloud dashboard, a comprehensive suite of service mesh monitoring, alerts, and diagnostics, and lots and lots of amazing graphs.
If you're considering running a service mesh on your Civo clusters, this may be the easiest way to get started. Here's how to check it out yourself:
First, install Linkerd
If you haven't installed Linkerd yet, it's available on Civo's marketplace. We've got a great tutorial on how to install Linkerd on a Civo cluster.
Once you have Linkerd running, you can extend it with Buoyant Cloud in two ways:
Next, add the Buoyant Cloud extension
curl -sL buoyant.cloud/install | sh linkerd buoyant install | kubectl apply -f -
(Alternatively, you can simply browse over to Buoyant Cloud, create your free account, and add your cluster from there.)
Finally, claim your Buoyant Cloud credits
For a limited time, if you’ve added the Buoyant Cloud extension to at least one Civo Kubernetes cluster, you're eligible to use the code BUOYANTCIVO2021 to claim $100 in free Buoyant Cloud credits—a little token of thanks from your friends at Buoyant! When you sign up for a paid plan, just add that coupon code to your account.
