Arupa Cloud Nusantara and Civo successfully hosted an event in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 27th August 2026 that brought together partners, technology enthusiasts, and business professionals to explore how different approaches to cloud can create new opportunities for businesses and customers in Indonesia, while contributing to the growth of Indonesia’s cloud-native ecosystem.
More than just a product introduction, the session explored a range of topics, from cloud freedom, cloud-native technology, Kubernetes, hybrid cloud, and AI infrastructure to partnership opportunities.

From cloud complexity to cloud freedom
One of the key messages from the session was how today’s cloud landscape is facing a new set of challenges. Evolving customer needs are driving the demand for a different approach to cloud, one that is simpler, more flexible, transparent, provides greater control, and reduces dependency on specific vendors.

During the first session of the day led by Aditya Irawan, Lead Product Architect, participants gained an overview of Civo’s portfolio and how its technologies can support a wide range of workload requirements.

One cloud experience across public and private environments
One of the key concepts highlighted was the concept of cloud parity. Through this approach, Civo services are designed to provide a consistent operational experience across public and private cloud environments. This enables organizations to determine where a workload should run based on its performance, security, and cost requirements.

Live demo: Seeing cloud architecture in practice
Following the introduction to Civo, participants joined a live demo led by Aditya Irawan. The demo used PT Nusantara Retail and OrderKu as a fictional scenario to demonstrate how different infrastructure components can be structured within a cloud environment.
The architecture in the scenario included:
- Compute
- Kubernetes
- Load Balancer
- Firewall
- Database
- DNS
- Customer-facing application
The demo provided a practical look at how different workloads can be deployed and connected to build a more structured application environment, including workloads running on Kubernetes.
Building the cloud-native ecosystem together
The discussions throughout the day highlighted that cloud adoption today is about more than technology alone.
The growth of Indonesia’s cloud-native ecosystem and increasing adoption of Kubernetes are also creating new opportunities for partners to deliver solutions aligned with customers’ evolving infrastructure transformation needs.
For partners, the questions are becoming broader:
