Today Civo unveiled a major update on the company’s ambitions and strategic direction at Civo Navigate London, the company’s annual gathering of cloud and AI industry leaders. Its new strategy is to be ‘Built for More’ - promising more control, more power and more possibilities for users. It signals Civo’s mission to free businesses to build without limits in the cloud, bringing together the freedom of public & the sovereignty of private cloud.

Civo has continued to grow and invest in its offering to deliver sovereignty, scalability and the performance that modern organisations need from their cloud provider. As part of its expanded growth, Civo has confirmed the integration of ServerChoice, a UK-based data centre specialist. This move realigns two of Mark Boost’s companies to combine shared values, expertise and new resources, bringing additional local talent and greater UK data centre capabilities into Civo to better serve customers.
Today’s launch marks a full rebrand for Civo, marking the company’s evolution from a challenger cloud provider to a leading force in privacy-first, AI-ready cloud infrastructure. Speaking to tech leaders from around the world at Civo Navigate London, CEO Mark Boost set out his Built for More vision for a simpler, more sovereign and AI-optimised cloud infrastructure.
“Businesses today need more from their cloud. They want simplicity, privacy, and the power to run AI at scale, without compromise, that’s why we built Civo, to give companies complete freedom over their infrastructure and data, with a platform purpose-built for an AI-driven world. For the next stage of our journey, we’re setting our sights on new markets and future opportunities to deliver more performance, more security, and more possibilities for customers around the world" - Mark Boost
Civo’s Built for More strategy reflects the company’s focus on delivering sovereign cloud for an AI era. At the centre of this approach is Civo’s firm belief in the merits of hybrid cloud, with each customer benefiting from seamless operation of Civo technology across public and private cloud environments.
Its strategy is built around three core pillars:
- More Control - Civo’s sovereign, secure compute enables firms to run their cloud environments however they need to - without sacrificing any control over the data they are storing, the features they are using, or the price they pay.
- More Power - CivoStack, Civo’s custom-built software stack, powers both its public and private cloud platforms, delivering true feature parity across environments, ensuring consistency, flexibility, and future-proof performance.
- More Possibilities - Powering enterprise innovation across Civo’s platform, from supporting enterprise AI workloads with CivoAI, to the cutting-edge hardware of Flexcore - Civo’s all-in-one cloud solution shipped directly to users around the world.
Civo’s approach is already attracting organisations like the University of Oxford and Orbital Materials, which are using Civo’s platform to support critical AI and sustainability projects.
“We’re using Civo’s GPUs to develop world-leading AI models to discover new materials and develop hardware solutions to the biggest challenges in data centres - from decarbonisation to water usage to cooling the next generation of GPUs. Civo gives us the flexibility and performance we need to train our AI models at scale, like Orb, the world’s fastest and most accurate AI model for advanced material simulation." - Daniel Miodovnik, COO of Orbital Materials.
Professor Regent Lee at the University of Oxford added:
“Civo’s platform is helping us accelerate AI research in radiology with NetZeroAICT, improving patient outcomes while reducing the carbon footprint of large-scale data processing. It’s a powerful example of how secure, sovereign infrastructure can enable positive change in healthcare and beyond.”
Julia Lopez MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Science, Innovation & Technology said:
“As we navigate this next phase of cloud and AI, it’s critical that we keep competition healthy and sovereignty front of mind. Of course US hyperscalers will play a major role but it must not be to the exclusion of our vital UK tech companies. We have the talent and expertise – in fact many of our AI companies are the envy of the world. As a country, we need to double-down on this, backing home-grown leaders that drive our country forward in this new tech economy and mindful of not undermining our own competitiveness, security and resilience.”
Looking ahead, Civo plans to expand its infrastructure over the next 18 months with new data centre openings in Europe and Asia, including a second European region by mid-2026 and further expansion into the Middle East in 2027. These additions will build on existing regions across the US, UK, Germany and India, reflecting Civo’s commitment to supporting sovereignty and performance closer to where its customers operate around the globe.
At Civo Navigate London, Civo also showcased upcoming product developments that advance its mission to simplify cloud for the AI era. Highlights included:
- FlexCore, Civo’s cloud-in-a-box solution, makes it easy for organisations to run workloads seamlessly across public and private environments with feature parity between both, in locations of the user’s choice.
- Expanded GPU capabilities with Nvidia B200s, supporting the next wave of generative AI and high-performance workloads.
- The roadmap for relaxAI, a privacy-focused AI assistant that reflects the growing demand for more controlled, sovereign AI tools.
Together, these developments reflect how Civo is adapting its platform and operations to meet changing demands on cloud infrastructure worldwide.
