It's a tool from VMWare for managing the underlying complexity in Kubernetes. The line that jumped out to me in their "Road map" was this: "The goals for this project are to provide enough functionality to be a graphical analog for
kubectl is a pretty impressively complex beast so I'd be all over a tool to tame it. Here's a gif screenshot from their README:
But interestingly, they've branded it fully as a VMWare product rather than an extension of Kubernetes. Still open source though, which is good.
As someone who's personally new to K8s I'm keen on hearing opinions!
